War.......

Got some more dvds today.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED volume 3 and 4. Saw vol 3 today and it was excellent. Wonder what Flay is going to do....

Seems that the first episode on vol 4 is the episode that had Japanese parents up in arms over a scene of Kira and Flay (?) in bed.

Ok the double packing thing

Double packing refers to putting two dvds in the one case. I use double m-Lock cases for this purpose (my fave type of case!). I get them from JetLogic (scroll down to Super clear double DVD case).

Heres the 2 dvds (in there cases) plus the double dvd case:

US is one the left, Japanese middle and the double case is on the right

Heres what it looks like on the outside (US cover out):

And heres the inside:

The Japanese dvd goes on the left, US on the right. The Japanese dvd cover faces in (so when i take the US dvd out i see that lovely cover art). The inserts go in the clips on the left. No inserts in the US release (cheapo Bandai)

The hardest bit is getting the covers aligned, but once thats done it looks so nice!

(oh yeah, for those who didnt get my last entries title, it was from the movie Dodgeball. VERY FUNNY!! Watch it!)

If you can dodge traffic, you can dodge a ball.

Todays stuff that came in the post

I won Lady Death in a competition and im going to double pack SEED movie 1 with the Japanese release (mainly so i can reuse the lovely Japanese artbox)

Ill make another entry about the double packing

Warning - moaney post!

This is a moany post about people over on a cetain anime forum.

I have 3 people on my ignore list for various reasons, however i cant hepl but veiw there posts on occasion just to see what they are saying.

First one is Naiera. He has this really bad, somewould say trollish hatred of dubs. In fact, if you post about dubs outside of the English Track forum he will bad mouth you. Today he had a go about the Robotech boxset that ADV US are putting out. I mean come on, who doesnt know about Robotech! well he obviously doesnt. He also is one of the subscribers to the UK dvds suck brigade, despite the fact he doesnt buy any...

Anyway, seeing his posts today reminded me why hes on my list, along with:

Advent_Nebula - A English Track regular with a strange hatred of NewGen pictures. he bad mouths there dubs and the actors/directors who work on them on a regular basis. He also rants about them on other forums too (just search for his name, tis fun reading his posts!)

Finally, theres Gersen - He has a real bee in his bonnet about UK release. If you dare say that a UK release has video quality equal or better than a US release he will immediately reply to you bringing up the whole PAL conversion thing and how your an idiot if you dont notice it. face it, most people dont. You dont have to accuse us who dont of been an idiot.

Id also like to know if he ever has watched a UK dvd... I get the feeling he hasnt.

Anyway, there goes my slightly bitchy post.

Saturday, cruddy Saturday

Well not really cruddy...

Anyway got some manga today, as well as a Japanese magazine

The manga i got today was Fruits Basket vol 4 and DearS vol 1 (yummy!)

The magazine is an adult orientated anime/games magazine called Dengeki Hime. This is the July 2005 issue, the latest issue that Anime Ten had in. The cards where thrown in for free by the guys @ Anime Ten (Thanks Guys!)

Oh yeah, just had to delete my first comment spam. I feel wanted now!

Jump Superstars

My imported copy came in the post. The games good. Its like Smash Bros, but with SJ characters.

Wish i knew Japanese tho, the one player mode kinda demands it. (you have to win fights in certains ways, like not puching a certain button at all, or by using a certain amount of moves)

The touch screen is not really used, cept to change your player in battle. It seems you can have 2 main characters (the first ones in one player are Naruto and Luffy) plus a few "support" characters, who do special moves when you touch em.

The music is good tho. Im not sure if its from any anime series tho. Oh yeah, theres no voices either. Which imo is a good thing, since if it did get a US release people would moan if they dare change the voices.

"The only person who can come inside me is the "someone just for me""

That was from Chobits vol 5. Not quite sure what it means. Think ill have to reread Chobits once i've read all of it.
